4 MacOS email clients that might work better for you than Apple Mail

Jack Wallen/ZDNET I depend on email. I not only communicate with clients, but with friends and family, and you cannot put a price on the ability to manage an overflowing inbox with ease. Although Apple Mail is a good solution, there's often something better, and I've been hunting for an option for some time. These four email apps might well fulfill your email needs in ways that Apple Mail cannot. Also: Raycast is my productivity secret weapon on MacOS - and it's free If I've piqued your curi

ChatGPT will analyze Gmail emails, manage schedule on Google Calendar

ChatGPT appears to be testing support for Gmail and Google Calendar integration. This will allow users to summarise emails and create events. ChatGPT already supports Gmail integration, but it's tied to Deep Research. Right now, you can use information from Gmail in your Deep Research reports, but it's not possible to pull up emails from Gmail and summarise them. As spotted by Tibor on X, ChatGPT is now actively testing support for integrating Gmail and Calendar, so you can stay "organized."

Apple announced at its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9 that the next version of the iPhone's operating system will be called iOS 26. The tech giant said iOS 26 will bring a transparent glass design to icons and menus, it will have a new Games app and much more to your iPhone. But when Apple released iOS 18.2 in December, it introduced a new feature in your Mail app that sorts your incoming emails into different categories for you, called Categories. "The Mail app automatically sorts y

NASA Sends Scary Email to Staff

An agency-wide, internal email sent out to all NASA staff warns of major changes ahead. The space agency is expected to majorly change its direction under the Trump administration's control, severing itself from its science-based roots and doubling down on landing humans on Mars, as the president proclaimed during a speech in front of Congress in March. According to the administration's proposed budget for NASA's fiscal year 2026, the agency could soon go through drastic changes of devastating

Email accounts of several Washington Post journalists were compromised in a cyberattack believed to have been carried out by a foreign government. On Sunday, June 15, an internal memo was sent to employees, informing them of a “possible targeted unauthorized intrusion into their email system.” According to The Wall Street Journal, the memo was signed by Executive Editor Matt Murray and informed that M

I found a simple toggle to get rid of ads in my Gmail inbox, and I can’t recommend it enough

Calvin Wankhede / Android Authority I hate nothing more than advertising online that blends into the rest of the content. That’s especially true when it shows up in places where I least expect it, like my email inbox. In the Gmail app, the biggest offender is the “Sponsored” emails pictured above. These ads often show up like a regular message and look almost the same as any other email — sender, subject line, and all. Some ads are even worse and take up significant real estate to show you prod

Think before you click: Experts warn email "Unsubscribe" links pose security risks

In a nutshell: A common rule of thumb advises unsubscribing from commercial emails if they are annoying or outright spam. However, some experts caution against this advice, as clicking the "unsubscribe" button can expose users to additional risks and security issues. According to TK Keanini, CTO at DNSFilter, the "click to unsubscribe" option found at the bottom of many commercial emails can become a security risk over time. Users often click these links blindly in an attempt to stop the flood

I like Outlook as a Gmail client more than Gmail itself, and I’m tired of pretending I don’t

Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority Last year, I wrote a controversial article about my opinion on the Gmail Android app, backed up by everything I had discovered that the Gmail app can’t do that other Android email apps can. While I was writing that Gmail opinion article, I was bouncing between a few different alternative apps, including my usual go-to, Blue Mail, and a terrific open-source app called FairEmail. Ultimately, though, I settled on the Microsoft Outlook app for Android. I have si

Mark Zuckerberg’s charity U-turns, ends DEI efforts

Mark Zuckerberg’s charity has eliminated its DEI programs and efforts just weeks after assuring staff it would continue supporting DEI efforts, The Guardian reports. The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), co-founded by Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, will end internal DEI programs and no longer provide “social advocacy funding,” which provided grants for racial equity and immigration reforms. In a staff email obtained by The Guardian, Marc Malandro, the COO of CZI, said the organization
