Hackers steal and destroy millions from Iran’s largest crypto exchange

Iran’s largest crypto exchange, Nobitex, said Wednesday that it was hacked and funds have been drained from its hot wallet. In a statement on its website translated by TechCrunch, Nobitex said it detected unauthorized access to its infrastructure and hot wallet, in which the company stores a portion of its customers’ cryptocurrency. The company said it was investigating the incident, and that its website and app would be unavailable for the foreseeable future. Public records show the hackers s

Old Video Shows Elon Musk Saying That What Tesla's Launching This Month Wouldn't Count as Full Self-Driving

The launch date for Tesla's long-awaited robotaxi service in Austin, Texas continues to slip, raising embarrassing questions for the company. For one, the modified Model Y SUVs that will initially make up the EV maker's robotaxi fleet won't technically be driverless, because they'll be teleoperated by human employees if anything goes wrong. They'll also be geofenced to only the easiest areas to drive in, which as Electrek points out is a fascinating example of how CEO Elon Musk has moved goalp

Tesla Stock Plummets as Company Abruptly Halts Production of Cybertruck and Model Y

Tesla is pausing production of the Cybertruck and its newly-retooled Model Y, and the stock market is already responding. On the heels of a new Business Insider report about the production shutdown, which is purportedly slated for the week of June 30 based on insider interviews, the company's stock fell to about $316, which was almost four percent lower than it was at the start of the day. To make matters worse, Tesla stock was already sliding thanks to CEO Elon Musk's Robotaxi pilot being push

Android may soon recommend you use an ‘optimized’ voice assistant — here’s what that really means

Mishaal Rahman / Android Authority TL;DR OEMs can now highlight specific digital assistants as “optimized” for their Android devices in the default app settings. Google says it created the feature at an OEM’s request so OEMs can recommend assistants verified to work with their first-party applications. While Google says it won’t do this on its own Pixel phones, the feature comes as the company is facing growing regulatory pressure. For many years, Google Assistant was widely seen as the best

Grab these free retro Sega games for iPhone before it’s too late

If you’re a fan of retro Sega games – or just think you might be – you’ll want to download nine of them to your iPhone before they are discontinued … CNET’s Zachary McAuliffe spotted the warning message when downloading a couple of them. I downloaded Crazy Taxi and Streets of Rage, and after I started these games, I saw a screen that said support for the games will be discontinued soon. The screen also says you can play these games offline even after support ends. All nine are currently free

Wyze says its security cameras deserve your trust again

In an effort to restore trust in the security of its cameras, smart home brand Wyze has developed VerifiedView — a new layer of protection that embeds your user ID into the metadata of every photo, video, and livestream. Wyze claims the system matches this data to your account before playback, blocking unauthorized access to your footage. “This is a safety net,” Wyze co-founder and CMO Dave Crosby tells The Verge. “On top of doing everything we can to protect users, we’ve built this double chec

If this OnePlus 15 camera leak is true, OnePlus might be making a critical mistake

Ryan Haines / Android Authority The OnePlus 13 is, without a doubt, one of my favorite Android phones available today — and for a multitude of reasons. Its design is great, performance is outstanding, and battery life is amazing. Unlike a lot of past OnePlus phones, the OnePlus 13’s cameras are just as good (if not better) than the rest of its flagship competitors. And that’s why the latest OnePlus 15 leak has me worried. Earlier this week, a well-known leaker teased a few details about the u

Honda’s hopper suddenly makes the Japanese carmaker a serious player in rocketry

An experimental reusable rocket developed by the research and development arm of Honda Motor Company flew to an altitude of nearly 900 feet Tuesday, then landed with pinpoint precision at the carmaker's test facility in northern Japan. The accomplishment may not sound like much, but it's important to put it into perspective. Honda's hopper is the first prototype rocket outside of the United States and China to complete a flight of this kind, demonstrating vertical takeoff and vertical landing t

Nothing Headphone 1 price leaks, and it’s cheaper than Apple, Sony’s best

TL;DR Pricing for the Nothing Headphone 1 has apparently been posted online. The new pair of headphones will reportedly start at $309 in the US, €299 in Europe, and £299 in the UK. Video: Here’s a first look at using Apple Vision Pro with PlayStation VR controllers

At its big software event last week, Apple officially announced that support for Sony PlayStationVR2 controllers was coming to the Apple Vision Pro headset, along with other six-degrees-of-freedom spatial controller accessories. This is in addition to the Vision Pro’s primary input methods of eye and hand tracking. While interest in support for PSVR2 will no doubt center on gaming possibilities, Nathie on YouTube has given us a great first look at how interacting with visionOS works with PSVR2

New Linux udisks flaw lets attackers get root on major Linux distros

Attackers can exploit two newly discovered local privilege escalation (LPE) vulnerabilities to gain root privileges on systems running major Linux distributions. The first flaw (tracked as CVE-2025-6018) was found in the configuration of the Pluggable Authentication Modules (PAM) framework on openSUSE Leap 15 and SUSE Linux Enterprise 15, allowing local attackers to gain the privileges of the "allow_active" user. The other security bug (CVE-2025-6019) was discovered in libblockdev, and it enab

My 6 favorite open-source Android apps from the Google Play store - and why that matters

Joan Cros/NurPhoto via Getty Images Android and open source are closely intertwined. In fact, most open-source fans I know also use Android. Coincidence? I think not. One nice thing about Android is that the Google Play Store has lots of open-source software. That's not to say every single open-source title is worth your time and effort, but there are plenty of FOSS apps that are not only worth your time but also some of the best in class. Also: I upgraded to Android 16 - here's what I love a

Those Creatine Gummies You Bought Online Might Not Contain Any Creatine

Gummy supplements are appealing for one obvious reason: Instead of choking down a chalky powdered drink or swallowing a dubious-smelling capsule, you essentially get to eat some candy. Unfortunately, when it comes to creatine, these products might not contain the essential ingredient they claim. Four of six popular creatine gummy products sold on Amazon contained almost no creatine or none at all when samples were tested by an independent lab. Creatine, a staple supplement for weightlifters and

The Best Motorola Phones (2025), Tested and Reviewed
